Guard tour systems consist of a guard pen, x number of checkpoints to go around, and guard toms used to distinguish guards among themselves.
The guard first makes his own guard tom read the pen and after this he starts reading the points in the factory, for example. After the tour is over, he makes the pen read the pen again and the tour is completed. This process continues over and over again at specified time intervals.
